Originally one of the countries most
influential DJ’s, currently on the
international front, Nelson’s music
reflects a quality synonymous with a
full-bodied South African wine.
There is a remarkable maturity visible
in his work – the result of his
diversity and drive, his strong beliefs
about support amongst DJ’s in the
competi-tive world of mixing and
music production, and over 15 years
of experience in the industry.
Nelson started his career in 1989,
playing all night night sets in
Johannesburg’s top nightclubs. After
many years behind the decks he
started playing and promoting some of
the early raves, and swiftly became a
respected name in the country’s growing
club culture.
DJ-ing since the tender age of 10
Ahmad Ajam or letter-chopped to
Mad-Jam, has evolved from the
elementary-school house parties to
the biggest clubs and events around
the world and maintains a profile as
one of the Middle East’s most
popular DJs.
Having lived in Beirut and Dubai, he
keeps a database of all happenings in
the Middle east Clubbing scene through
forums, friends and associates. He also
produces and mixes Club Frequency on
Mix FM- a weekly radio show since June
2000- dedicated to Lebanon & the
regions clubbers (now syndicated to a
number of online radio stations).
